Among the inbound stops, Pacific Ave & Stockton St records the highest ridership, accounting for more than half the total ridership in the inbound stops. By contrast, the Pacific Ave & Kearny St stop saw significantly lower levels of activity.

Between the outbound stops, Broadway & Stockton St saw the highest activity, accounting for two-thirds of total ridership in the outbound stop, while the Pacific Ave & Powell St stop saw half the activity of the Broadway & Stockton St stop.

Ridership for all inbound stops remains very consistent throughout the day, seeing very little deviation from 9 am to 4 pm. After 4 pm, we see a decrease in ridership before a steep reduction after 6 pm.

The baseline distribution model below only contains inbound stops that show the expected hourly departing weekday ridership (blue) versus the actual departing ridership observed (red) at each stop using SFMTA data. The Chinatown stops (31–34) stand out with the deepest colors, reflecting higher levels of activity relative to other points along the line.
